About

degree in music I have been been interested in music from an early age studying piano as a young boy. This led to an undergraduate degree in music from the University of Oregon and additional graduate classes.

I’ve played keyboards in rock bands, sung with various choirs, and since 2001 played viol, recorder and harpsichord in Byrdsong Consort.

As a member of a Boston stage magic company,  I wrote for, performed with, and directed the resident recorder consort, the men’s chorus, and a female vocalist. From 1994-2017 I served as Director of Music for the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene. With three resident choirs, we sang for Sunday services and presented major works during the church year.

Loux Music publishes two of my recorder trios; PRB Music publishes my music for voice and viols. Boulder Early Music, Honeysuckle Music, Courtly Music Unlimited, and Recorder Music Mail in the UK  distribute several self-published recorder quartets.
